34,90€ for the bluetooth device, pin adapter and radio lock keys. Not a bad deal
I mended a thing and it worked!
A few weeks ago a few replies on my comment sparked my interest for in-car audio in my 2006 Audi A3. My old solution for streaming music was an FM transmitter which worked but the quality was rather bad and sometimes my phone disconnected out of the blue. After a bit of research on forums and on YouTube I found a solution: a small bluetooth device from Bluemusic which connects to the cd changer pin on the back of the radio. Delivery was super fast as was the i nstallation. It took only 10 minutes to hook the reciever up. The audio quality is good so far and no comparison to my old FM transmitter at almost the same cost! If you want to listen to your music in your car without having an AUX jack or installing a gaudy l ooking aftermarket radio this is the best possible solution in my opinion.

That’s a pretty sweet setup!

That’s nifty! I bought a Bluetooth fm transmitter the other day that works well but probably isn’t nearly as good sound quality as that. I’m not even sure if I have the pin outs for one of those. The anker roav is doing the trick and doesn’t have stupid bright lights or anything

Not bad either. Does your transmitter have a microphone for hands free calls? My friend can do that with his transmitter he bought off Amazon.

Great job keeping the look! I had a cheap aftermarket head unit in my Dodge van, and it stuck out like a sore thumb. Clarion sells head units that look retro, but come with a high price.

It does. I haven’t tested it out yet and with an otter box case on my phone I can’t imagine it will sound too great. It also has an aux input and you can play music off a stick in the top usb port

Keeping everything looking clean and uncluttered was my intention and I guess I accomplished what I h ad intentioned. Becker also sold vinatge looking radios with built in navigation and a usb port. But like the Clarion units they were rather expensive.
One could earn a fortune by selling old stock head units retrofitted with bluetooth.

Nice work! IMO, adding better audio inputs is the best mod you can do on your car. Glad this one went so smoothly.

It's a cheap and easy way to keep the car modern to a certain extent.
